It is the final day of the WSOP-C Playground. Today, we crown 4 champions! The Main event, Closer, High Roller and Pot Limit Omaha will all play down to a winner. The $1,000 + $100 Main Event was a tremendous success, and the 2142 entries that were accounted for allowed the event to surpass the $2M guarantee and create an even bigger prize pool for our money finishers. The champion will take $300,000, the Main Event circuit ring, an entry into WSOP-C Monterrey, and huge bragging rights.
With 38 players left and 1-hour levels, there is a lot of poker to be played today. Players have received their seating assignment, and will start on 5 tables. Slowly but surely, these tables will break and eventually lead to the final table where most of the money is. Day 4 qualifiers have secured an $8,000 prize, but our final tableists are looking at a payday between $20,000 and $300,000.
The field is led by Philippe Sousa (6,825,000 chips), who grabbed the lead in the last stint last night. Qi Hu follows with just over 6M. Andrew Knowles, Samuel Roussy-Majeau and Danielle Bracy complete the 5M club. All players, however, have a shot at the title. With blinds at 40K/80K/a80K, chips will fly and it is still anybody’s game. Cards will get in the air at 13h00 sharp. Stay with us throughout the day (and night) for chip updates and hand accounts.
Good luck to all!
