The marquee event of the WSOP-C Playground, the $1,000 + $100 Main Event, is about to begin!

Day 1A of the Main Event gets underway at noon today and promises to be yet another action-packed starting flight. Both the Colossus and Monster Stack events brought out players in droves, a trend that will continue today with the first of three starting flights for the Main Event.

The Main Event features at $2,000,000 prize pool guarantee. Players start the Main Event with a stack of 50,000 in chips to play through 10 60-minute levels on each of the three Day 1s. This is a multiple re-entry event with one entry and one re-entry permitted during each starting flight as well as on each Day 2 until the end of the late registration and re-entry period at the beginning of level 13.

Although Day 1A is the first live starting flight, many players got a head start on this event on partypoker thanks to the Online Day 1 & 2, which combined two days of play into a single online flight. The Online Day 1 & 2 had 194 entries, and 29 players advanced directly to Day 3 with a payout already secured.
