The late registration and re-entry period have come to a close and the final numbers are in: tonight’s Day 1F flight attracted a total of 321 players (including a whopping 76 re-entries), bringing the total of all Day 1 flights to date to just over 2,000 players. Considering there are still three more starting flights tomorrow (Sunday) which are traditionally the largest flights of the week, Event #1 is shaping up up to be a tremendous success.
The average chip stack at the break was 37,800, and once again, William Pettersen is in the lead with almost five times the average, sitting on 190,400. Followed behind Pettersen is local grinder Ariel Sherker with 110,200 chips. The battle is heating up throughout the room and there are many players now that are double the average (or more).
Some of the recent bustouts include: Warren Chu, Ryan Tjong, Robert Aho, Ian Herkert, Andrew Power, Michael Husted, John Goldner, Kris Steinbach, Fadi Haddad and Tu Kham Tran.
