A hand that just played out between Denis Quirion and Nabil Nahoul caught the attention of not only the rest of the players at table 24 but a good portion of the tournament hall too.
It started out as a three-way pot between Quirion, Nahoul and Rene Majeau when all the chips went in on an eight-high flop. Quirion, the pre-flop aggressor, made a hefty c-bet that was called by Majeau before Nahoul check-raised all in. Quirion immediately went over the top and moved all in, which left Majeau in a very tough spot. After some time in the tank, Majeau found the fold button so hands could be tabled.
Quirion appeared to be very confident throughout all the action on the flop. With a pair of kings on an eight-high board, he had good reason to be! But Nahoul had flopped top set, putting the kings in second place.
The turn brought a third heart, giving Quirion a king-high flush draw and greatly increasing his outs.
And the river brought the queen of hearts! Quirion made a flush and took down the huge pot, sending Nahoul to the rail in the process.
