Congratulations to one of the local players in today’s field, Chanracy Khun, who along with his partner Sabrina is celebrating the birth this past weekend of their daughter Alice Khun.

Khun has over $1,000,000 in live cashes and was the 2013 partypoker WPT Barcelona main event champion.

The players are now on a 45 minute dinner break, action will return at 7:15pm.

With a total of 78 entries (including 10 re-entries), the Super High Roller blew the $250,000 guarantee out of the water and produced a total prize pool of $378,300 (after the 3% staff gratuity was taken out).

The top nine players will be in the money, with a min-cash of $12,000 in ninth position, and $110,000 up top for the event champion.

Here is the prize pool for Event #4, the $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller:

Nick Basile has been card dead all day and that never makes it easy. It gets even worse when you are sitting on a tough table full of huge stacks.

He decided to get it in for 99,000 chips when action folded to his button. David Ormsby made the call in the big blind.

Basile: King of Diamonds 7 of Clubs
Ormsby: Ace of Spades 2 of Spades

Basile hit the 9 of Spades 7 of Diamonds 9 of Clubs flop, and faded an ace on the 10 of Hearts turn and 9 of Hearts river.

Basile is still alive and increased his stack to 222,000 chips (effectively 14 bigs).

With chips already on the felt, David Tan Aka Nguyen put his stack into the middle and was called by Jonathan B. All of the other players moved out of the way.

Nguyen: 3 of Hearts 3 of Diamonds
Jonathan B.: Ace of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds

Nguyen stayed ahead on the 7 of Diamonds 9 of Hearts 8 of Spades flop, and the 4 of Spades on the turn didn’t change anything, however the 10 of Clubs on the river made a straight for Jonathan B. and that ended the day for Nguyen.

Table 23 table was broken, sending David Ormsby and Danny Freitas, two fortunes at the moment, on new battlefields. James little, a bit down on his luck today, managed to take a bite off Ormsby in a preflop all-in confrontation.

Little: Ace of Hearts Queen of Hearts
Ormsby: 8 of Hearts 8 of Diamonds

Board: 2 of Spades 4 of Spades Queen of Spades 4 of Hearts 7 of Spades

With the pot, Little almost reaches the average.

High Rollers are playing the last level before the second break, which will be the last chance to enter or re-enter the event. After that, it’s freezeout time!

One of the latest additions to the event is Senthuran Vijararatnam, from Ontario, a frequent visitor at Playground. He has many great results here, the last of which was a 16th place at MILLIONS North America 2019.

He was just seen making an accurate river call of more than half his stack with 10 of Spades 10 of Diamonds on a 9 of Spades 7 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds 5 of Clubs King of Spades board. Welcome to the High Roller!

The $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller event is playing its second level of the day. Two more will pass before the end of the registration period, at which point we will be able to publish the prize pool breakdown.

For the moment, few big pots are being played; players are trying to grind their way to the top of the leaderboard rather then leap up. A few, however, did enjoy such leaps. It is the case for Sopheak Heang, who managed to knock out local force Ami Alibay, in a hand that we unfortunately missed. This win put him at the top, just over Mike Leah. As for Danny Freitas, who started the day in the lead, a few misfortunes forced him to leave the leading pack.

A break is coming in about 20 minutes. Stay tuned for the leaderboard. Here are a few shots of our High Rollers in action:

The Super High Roller will play down to a winner today, and late registration will be available until the beginning of the thirteenth level of play.

    Good luck to all!

    Day 2 seating draw

    August 28, 2019 | 12:14pm | Playground

Event #4 of the WSOP-C Playground. the $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller, continues this afternoon at 1:00pm with Day 2 and will play until there is a winner.

The Super High Roller gathered 52 entries through eight levels of play yesterday, enough to already surpass the $250,000 prize pool guarantee. Day 2 will likely draw a number of new players and re-entries to create a very juicy prize pool before registration closes. Late registration and re-entries will be available until the beginning of level 13 at 4:15pm.

When play resumes at 1:00pm, the 31 players who advanced from Day 1 will be seated according to the following table.
