Event #6 is now playing hand for hand. The action is tough on both tables, each with its own ruthless captain. Anatoly Filatov has taken the habit of simply grabbing a full $10M stack and pushing it forward anytime he gets involved – he had over 20M total – knowing that it would cover anyone else and that the gesture is always +EV on the eve of reaching the prizes. Charles LB managed to snap him on one of those times, having completed his small blind with a pair of jacks and snapped the all-in, but Filatov didn’t take long to make that back from the community.

Pierre-Paul Paulin is crushing the neighbouring table with now over 40M chips!! He leans on anyone who dares invest some chips and even finds some crushing spots:

This pot was played pre-flop. Paulin was in the big blind, and his 3bet passed for another shameless aggression. Espina finished in 13th place. The High Roller is now on the bubble.

John Hewgill, who started the day with just over 2 million chips, was quickly taken out by Sergio Aido Espina. Hewgill decided to move in on a flop that would have missed most combination of high cards, but his opponent was made:

Hewgill goes out in 16th. Manig Loeser, sitting at the same table, also left after losing a hand that we missed. Bartolomiej Machon was moved to that table to balance them out.

After 2 days of intense poker, the High Roller event is down to 16 players. Eleven of them will get paid today, and the champion will win $300,000, on top of the magnificent MILLIONS trophy and the High Roller title.

Play resumes at blinds 60K/120K/120K, and 60-minute levels will be played until one player has all the chips. Pierre-Paul Paulin had an amazing run so far, putting tremendous pressure on his opponents with the help of his giant stack. We will see if he can keep up the pace!
