The 8-Max has just entered its eighth level of play, following the first break of the day and the end of the late registration period. There are still 117 players in the running, out of 138 entries to this one-day event.

Many players more than doubled their starting stacks during the early levels, however, one player, Jean Napiot, has a massive lead over the field with a stack of more than triple the current chip average.

Event 5 is nearing both the first break and the deadline for registrations. A nice 116 players took part so far, and a few of them already bit the dust and are off to new MILLIONS challenges.

We came across a hand that portrayed a lot of insight from Nadir Lalji. When we got to the table, the action was on the river, Endrit Geci was all-in, and Lalji was looking at a 15,600 bet into a pot that was very close to 15K. Lalji said out loud: “Well I can’t beat aces or kings!”

Lalji showed queens and threw them in, left with just a handful of chips. Stay tuned for the leaderboard!

Players in the 8-Max just entered level 3. So far, 84 players registered for it, and with another hour and a half before the end of the registration period, the prize pool should build passed the $50,000 guarantee. Event #5 is located in the tent, next to the last Main Event satellite. A few players joined in after busting from that satellite, gunning for a MILLIONS title.

There is still plenty of time to make it here before the registration window closes. The temperature in the tent is perfect. The action is nice. The prizes are sexy. Come on in!

This afternoon, as Day 1B of the Main Event unfolds, we have a special treat for all players trying to get into a 1-day event with a substantial prize pool. Event #5 starts at noon sharp. It is a $500 + $50 8-Max event with a guaranteed pot of $50,000; more than enough to get your juices flowing!

Your starting stack will be 30,000 chips, and you will play 20-minute levels until only one remains. This last man standing will take home the magnificent MILLIONS North America Event #5 trophy, and some well-deserved bragging rights! Oh, and also, a hefty 5-figure payout. You have until 2:15PM to register, and you can only do it once, as this tournament is a freezeout in the purest form!
