The action has just resumed in level 9, following the second break of the day.

There are still 68 players in contention, and the stacks are still deep. The current chip average provides a little more than 60 big blinds, enough for players to take any kind of line they see fit. Israel Panataleon and Mehdi Badreddine are neck and neck for the chip lead, while a handful of players are sitting comfortably with more than double the current chip average.

Play continues in level 8 of the 6-Max with 79 players remaining. The late registration and re-entry period is now over, but there was time for 114 entries to join the action before the beginning of level 7.

The strong turnout created a prize pool that exceeded the guarantee and will pay today’s winner $13,260.

The next break is approaching rapidly. Stay tuned for a leaderboard update and the complete prize pool information

Here is a look at the field during level 7:

Following the end of the first break, the 6-Max has just entered its last hour of late registration and re-entries.

The early levels saw a steady stream of players make their way in to this event, gradually bringing up the number of entries to reach 96. Of those entries, 90 players are still involved, and four players opted to re-enter.

The current chip leader, Yannick Labattaglia, got off to a flying start and managed to nearly triple his starting stack. But this action-heavy format has been known to induce some serious swings so he will have to stay sharp to remain on top.

Offering spacious seating and unrelenting action, the 6-max format has a lot to offer. Add a huge prize pool guarantee of $50,000 and you get an event that is sure to be a hit with players. There is still plenty of time to get in on the action; late registration closes at 2:15pm.

    Here comes the 6-Max!

    May 26, 2019May 26, 2019 | 11:05am | Playground

Event #11 of the MILLIONS North America, the $500 + $50 6-Max, is about to begin!

Although the series is winding down, there is still a day of exciting action ahead, starting with this single-day event. The 6-Max starts players with 30,000 in chips and guarantees a prize pool of at least $50,000. It will last for as many 30-minute levels as it takes to crown a champion, and players will be able to make a single re-entry during the first six levels of play. The late registration and re-entry period will be open until 2:15pm.

As with the rest of the series, this event will prove to be popular with players because of the whopping prize pool guarantee and attractive format. The stacks will be deep and the blinds will come around quickly in this short-handed format so players will have to open their ranges and play lots of pots if they hope to take this one down.

The stage is set and the action will kick off soon. Good luck to all!
