Event #1 of the November Power Weekend, the $100 + $10 Mix Max Re-entry, has come to a close following an exciting, see-saw battle between Tristan Lee and Hrair Yapoudjian.

These two players were neck-and-neck for the chip lead after 10 levels of play, so it was fitting that these two would duke it out for the win. Yapoudjian held the chip lead at the final table for quite some time, thanks in large part to a dramatic three-way all in where he woke up in position with pocket aces with two all ins in front of him. The aces held, giving Yapoudjian the lion’s share of the chips. But Lee showed his grit and determination by grinding back his chips until the two players were nearly even.

Once the stacks were level, Lee and Yapoudjian took turns taking down big pots. This heads-up battle saw some dramatic swings, as each player managed to double through the other when they were on the ropes. Lee managed to build a slight chip lead, just in time to flop the nuts on, what would become, the last hand of play. Lee made a bet, which was met with an all in raise from Yapoudjian, who picked the wrong moment to try to take his opponent off a hand. Lee made the triumphant call, and the board ran out clean, to give him the bragging rights and prize money that comes with taking down a Power Weekend event. Congratulations!
