The action continued at a blistering pace on the final two tables, quickly reducing the field to the final table. Upon reaching the final table, the action did not relent, sending players to the rail in quick succession. Before long only four players remained.
The four finalists – Manfred Gunther, Jean Yves Demers, Marc-Antoine Plaisance and Nassim K – agreed to an ICM chop of the remaining prize pool. Gunther, the longtime tournament chip leader, had lost his chip advantage and settled for $1,755, Demers controlled the third largest stack and received $2,080, Plaisance was second in chips and took $2,209, while Massim had the chip lead and got the biggest cut of the prize pool for $2,585. The remaining $400 will go to the eventual champion.
