The $500 + $50 Playground 500, the marquee event of this Power Weekend, will also have two direct satellites prior to its Online Day 1 on Sunday. With a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000, expect a big turnout for each of the four starting flights. The Playground 500 will follow the familiar unlimited re-entry format, which allows players unlimited re-entries until the end of the late registration period on each Day 1 at the beginning of level 9. Players can enter multiple Day 1s, but only the largest qualifying stack can be used on Day 2; all others will be forfeited.
Your first chance to get in on the Playground 500 at a big discount arrives on Sunday at 1:00pm, when the first of two direct satellites to the Online Day 1 kicks off on partypoker. For a buy-in of only $52.50 + $2.50, this satellite guarantees at least five seats. At 2:00pm, the final direct satellite gets underway, this time at a buy-in of $104.50 + $4.50 but also with a five-seat guarantee. The online action in the Playground 500 starts at 4:00pm and will play for 14 levels, just like the live flights. Players who survive the Online Day 1 with chips will be merged with the live qualifiers and resume play for Day 2 on Saturday, November 23 at 3:00pm.
