The World Cup of Cards, the first poker festival to be held in 2019, is great for players who wish to chase an official title at a reasonable price. On the updated schedule, there is a total of 26 events and 15 satellites with buy-ins ranging from $110 to $1,650, and a wide variety of formats to please all players. Event 8 – $200 + $20 Grand Prix Canada

The Grand Prix Canada returns to Playground for the 4th time. This tournament presents an unbelievable buy-in/guarantee ratio. For $220, you have access to a half-a-million-dollar guarantee! Five online Day 1s and 12 live Day 1s all feed to a single Day 2 (January 27). The event concludes on Day 3 (January 28).

Event 17 – $1,500 + $150 WPTDeepStacks

The WPTDeepStacks, winner of the 4th Annual American Poker Awards Mid-Major Tournament Circuit of the Year, had its Playground debut just a month ago at the WPT Montreal. It will be back on our felts starting February 1 as the WCC 2019 Main Event, featuring three Day 1s. Its $750,000 guarantee is the largest of the festival, and the eventual Champion will go home with the heftiest first prize and the most bragging rights. Check the schedule for dates.

Event 21 – $1,000 + $100 Card Player Poker Tour

The CPPT is a series of live tournaments overseen by Card Player Media, publishers of the well-known and respected Card Player magazine. It has visited Playground on both previous editions of the World Cup of Cards. The $250,000 guarantee is sure to round up a nice crowd, which will be divided into two Day 1s. The event concludes on Day 2 (February 6).

While the Grand Prix Canada and the WPTDeepStacks are Unlimited Re-entry events, the Card Player Poker Tour is a Single Re-entry per flight event. In addition to these same-day re-entries, you can play as many Day 1s as you want, online and live, whether you have previously qualified or not. Your best qualified stack will move forward.

Proof of vaccination required in Kahnawake

As of Wednesday, September 1, 2021, ′Proof of Vaccination′ (′Vaccine Passport′) will be required for all guests entering the Playground Complex, including The Rail Coal Fire Bistro. This decision was made by the Public Safety Commission of Kahnawake and the MCK and applies to all non-essential businesses within the community of Kahnawake. Over the course of the last week, Playground implemented a series of measures to support the effort to combat the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), which culminated in a complete closure on Friday night at 11:59pm.
