Hockey Stars Hit the Playground Again

Playground Poker Club’s Hat Trick Series continues with Event 2 set to go on Sunday, February 10. Slated to join the poker action at Playground are some the most exciting stars of today’s team: Max Pacioretty, Josh Gorges, Travis Moen, David Desharnais, and Brendan Gallagher. Joining them will be two all-time hockey legends: Guy Carbonneau and Yvon Lambert, who will be running a live auction of some rare memorabilia from the hockey world.

The Hat Trick is a series of three events plus a ‘playoffs’ tournament being hosted by Playground Poker Club, each with the same goal: providing players an amazing poker experience while raising money for youth hockey. Event 1 on January 26 attracted both poker players and hockey fans who had the chance to play with their favourite players and participate in a silent auction for some amazing memorabilia.

‘The Hat Trick Series is great for hockey fans because when you sit down to play the tourney you might look across the table and see Max Pacioretty or one of the other great stars who will be coming out,’ said David Montour, COO of Playground Poker Club.

Hockey legends are no strangers to Playground. From the Hockey Poker Face-off 2011 to the Legends Banquet, Playground is often frequented by celebrity athletes who are comfortable both on the ice and the felt. Playground’s Player’s Club includes pros from the poker world ‘-but it also includes hockey greats who enjoy the game and play at the club.

The official sponsors of the series are Party Poker and Hockey Helps. Hockey Helps provides the materials and support to help organizations develop successful and rewarding fundraising campaigns.

The Hat Trick Series continues with Event 2 on February 10 and Event 3 on March 17. The Hat Trick Playoffs will be held on March 22.

Playground Poker Club is Canada’s premier poker destination. Located just minutes from downtown Montreal on highway 138 the club was recently expanded and is now the biggest club of its kind in Canada.

Notes: All tournament fees and add-ons collected go to support youth hockey in Kahnawake and the Montreal area. 20% of each Hat Trick Event’s prize pool will be added to the prize pool for the Hat Trick Playoffs.

As of Wednesday, September 1, 2021, ′Proof of Vaccination′ (′Vaccine Passport′) will be required for all guests entering the Playground Complex, including The Rail Coal Fire Bistro. This decision was made by the Public Safety Commission of Kahnawake and the MCK and applies to all non-essential businesses within the community of Kahnawake.
