Day 1D saw 178 players battle it out on the felt looking to bag for Day 2. The top 25 bagged and are now in the money. Tonight’s flight was full of great action. In the end, Soomnath Datta, who led the field for much of the evening, bagged the largest stack with 648,000 in chips. Sanford Tabin finished right behind him with 508,000, and Donald Lem bagged the third largest stack with 490,500 chips.

As the tournament went hand for hand, two players were very short and both were keeping a close eye on each other. Finally, Alberto Melendez picked up a premium hand and moved all in for 22,500. Ian Monahoyios made the call, as did Dionald Lem. The flop came and the action went check-check. On the turn came the . Monahoyios checked and Lem put in a bet of 6,000.
