Play resumed on two tables of five players and before long, short-handed play caused confrontation that led to a player elimination. Jason Sagle was pretty short and had a hard time staying afloat with a 100K big blind coming around every five hands. In his last hand, he open shoved the very respectable Ace of Clubs 10 of Diamonds and Michael Watson in the small blind called with Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs. To make matters worse, the flop came queen high! Although Sagle picked up a gutshot on the turn, he was ultimately forced to leave the table in 10th, good for $43,000. Congratulations!

Sagle’s departure meant that the 9-handed final table could be formed. Here is the seating assignment:

Shortly after play resumed, Mike Leah got busted in a hand that we missed. Leah picked up a $10K pay jump by appearing on the final, and leaves with $53,000. Well done!

Michael Robar also reached the end of the road. His 8th place finish netted him $67,000. Excellent work! After the next bust, players will be moved to the official WPT 6-handed final table and a stream will be set up with a 30-minute delay. Stay tuned for more info!

The $3,300 WPT Montreal Main Event sees its conclusion today, as ten players come back to the tables to battle it out until one of them has all the chips. It will be a very interesting Day 4, featuring some very solid players including 2014 World Champion Martin Jacobson, 2018 Female GPI Player of the Year Kristen Bicknell, and many more extremely solid players. The official WPT Final Table will be formed with six players, which is also the number of 6-figure payouts on the payout table.
