The Online Day 1 & 2 on partypoker took in a total of 101 entries, getting the WPT Montreal Main Event off to a great start.

When the dust settled at the end of the flight, 14 remained to advance their stacks to Day 3 and a spot in the money. Michael Watson brought forward the largest stack of the day, but with a field of elite players, even a large lead is far from safe.

The live starting flights begin next week. Day 1A runs Tuesday, October 29 at 4:00pm.

The anticipation has been building for weeks. Players have been qualifying for days on partypoker. The WPT Montreal Main Event is almost here!

It begins this Sunday, October 20, when the online flight for the $3,000 + $300 WPT Main Event, the Online Day 1 & 2, gets going at 4:00pm. The WPT Montreal Main Event is one of the premier events of the year and guarantees a prize pool of $3,000,000 so take advantage of the Online Day 1 & 2 to get a head start on the field. 

For the Main Event, the Online Day 1 & 2 will see players battle it out until the number of remaining players has been reduced to 1 in 7 entries. When that moment arrives, the remaining players will be in the money. These players will be reunited with their stacks when Day 3 play begins on November 2 at 12:00pm. The Online Day 1 & 2 is the only opportunity for players to take part in the Main Event online. Players who miss out on this online flight or those who qualify for Day 3 but want to improve their qualifying stack can get in on the live action the following week, beginning with the Day 1A on October 29 at 4:00pm.

Thanks to a series of satellites on partypoker, at least 40 players will qualify for the WPT Montreal Main Event at a huge discount from October 13 to 20. 

The $3,000 + $300 WPT Montreal Main Event guarantees a massive prize pool of $3,000,000. Players will get their first chance to run up a stack in this event thanks to the Online Day 1 & 2 on October 20, before the live action gets underway at Playground on October 29 with the first of three live starting flights.

Players can qualify for the Main Event for as little as $50 + $5 through feeders to the $500 + $30 satellites on partypoker. Scheduled daily at 5:00pm and 6:00pm, respectively, from October 13 to 19, there will be $50 + $5 and $100 + $9 feeders to the $500 + $30 Main Event Satellite at 8:00pm. Each Main Event satellite guarantees at least 5 seats.  

On October 20, the schedule will be shifted earlier to allow even more players to qualify for the Main Event Online Day 1 & 2, pushing the $50 + $5 feeder to 10:00am and the $100 + $9 feeder to 11:00am. The final $500 + $30 satellite will be held at 1:00pm, before all the online qualifiers come together to battle it out in the $3,000 + $300 Main Event Online Day 1 & 2 at 4:00pm. The players who survive this flight will join the rest of the field for Day 3 play on November 2, having already secured a place in the money.
