There are over 55,000 museums in 202 countries, and Montreal has more than its fair share of beautiful and educational places for you to visit. A museum is a great place to unwind and bring some inner peace to your poker-playing mind. So get inspired, surround yourself with greatness, and prepare to achieve it yourself at the MILLIONS North America. If art is your thing, then the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts should be the number one stop on your list. It numbers over 41,000 works from Antiquity to today, making it unique in Canada. And it doesn’t hurt being just around the corner from the Loews Hotel Vogue where you can score preferential rates by using promotional code: Playground Poker. New and Improved Client Software available now from partypoker

    August 11, 2017December 4, 2018 | Playground

In the past few days, partypoker has released upgrades to its desktop and mobile clients. The lobby and game play interfaces have both been improved in this first round of updates – making it more of a pleasure than ever to play on partypoker! The changes were made after gathering feedback from a wide range of players. The thing that stands out the most about both the lobby and table updates is the darker colour scheme, which will be easier on the eyes for players and big improvement for those playing long sessions. As well, the simplified one-click lobby has been removed and all of the attention now goes to the traditional lobby view. Very few players were reported to have used the simplified lobby – and now, improving the traditional view will be the focus of continuing development. In this update, filters have been made collapsible to provide more […]

    Winter in the Bahamas

    January 16, 2015December 5, 2018 | Playground

One of the ways Montrealers combat the winter blues is to travel south, and as usual there were a lot of players well known to Playground Poker Club in the Bahamas at the beginning of January for the annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure the PCA! The first major tournament series of the year, there is a long tradition of Montreal- and Quebec-based players who achieve success there, and this year was no exception. The top result by a local player came from Jonathan Duhamel, who won a $5K NL Hold’em tourney towards the end of this year’s event. Players Club member Jean-Philippe Piquette was also a winner at the PCA, taking down a $1.1K Crazy Pineapple event. Other local players who had success at the PCA include Marco Caza (2nd in a $5K event), Marc Etienne McLaughlin (3rd in a $5K Turbo event), and Adam Coviensky, who placed 4th in a […]

The 44th World Series of Poker has been running since the end of May in Las Vegas and so far Canadian players and Montreal-based players ‘-and members of our Players Club ‘-have continued to do very well in the annual tournament series.
