Local player wins at the Irish Open

We always feel great pride when a Canadian player has success abroad. Brigitte Métivier, a regular at Playground, took down early this morning the €250 Ladies’ Event at the 2019 Irish Open. There were 70 runners in the tournament, but in the end, only Métivier was left, and she was able to scoop the Ladies’ Event trophy and the €4,610 first prize. Well done!

The Lotus grants a 5-figure Jackpot

Last Monday, Carmen N. came to Playground with her husband for some late-night fun on the Electronic Gaming Devices. She was playing one of our most popular games, Eternal Lotus, the game that holds the current record for the biggest EGD Jackpot awarded at Playground – $28,791.93.

The lotus had a little surprise in store for Carmen. On the same spin, a perfect blend of gold coins and lotus symbols appeared on her screen, and a very nice amount was displayed: $16,873.21! Congratulations!

A Quick Hit for Tony

Last night, Tony was playing Quick Hit, a game where you need to accumulate as many Quick Hit symbols on the same spin. A tic after midnight, Tony F. got into Free Game mode, which is always good news. On one of those spins, he saw 8 of the money-making symbols appear on his screen. That’s one symbol shy of the maximum possible payout on that machine! At that moment, 8 Quick Hit symbols meant a Jackpot of $7,598.75!

Proof of vaccination required in Kahnawake

As of Wednesday, September 1, 2021, ′Proof of Vaccination′ (′Vaccine Passport′) will be required for all guests entering the Playground Complex, including The Rail Coal Fire Bistro. This decision was made by the Public Safety Commission of Kahnawake and the MCK and applies to all non-essential businesses within the community of Kahnawake. And we, as a business, support and respect their decision. Guests will be required to show their VaxiCode (QR Code) on their smartphone prior to entering the premises. Further to the additional health and safety measures announced yesterday, Playground will be making operational changes in response to the growing public health concern surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19).
