Playground’s Electronic Gaming Devices have never been busier! A ton of games awarded Jackpots this last weekend, including Fruits ‘n Royals – a real gaming treat! – which paid out a cool $10,000 pot. This happened on Sunday, midafternoon. Our EGDs keep on spinning! Last weekend was especially busy, especially on the Quick Hit games. On Saturday, Constatin Costelotos’ machine showed 8 Quick Hit symbols, worth a cool $3,000. On Sunday, it was Diane Paquette’s turn to accumulate 8 Quick Hit symbols, but on a different version of the game called Quick Hit Platinum Plus. Her pot was $4,002.08! On Sunday night, a little past midnight, Cynthia C. was playing in Playground’s EGD section. She was spinning the Raging Rhino machine, a game that is no stranger to Jackpots. This time, the Rhino had something fat in store for Cynthia; she took down $11,088.75! Congratulations!
Another late-night Bad Beat Jackpot!
At 4:09 this morning, the Primary Bad Beat Jackpot was hit! It had grown to $798,319, more than enough to make the people on table 1 very happy. The hand was played in such a way that nobody could have seen it coming. At showdown, with quads and a straight flush on the table, $30 were in the pot! About two months ago, our weekday cash game promotions were completely revamped. Today, we’re editing the new lineup with exciting changes that we think will please the majority of our players! The first week of 2019 was a busy one on the Electronic Gaming space. Since Friday, December 28 at 9AM and until this morning at 4AM, $73,735 were paid out in Jackpot prizes, spread across 33 winners! The last winner of 2018 was Jordan Lahache. With every new year, in all forms of competition, we reflect on the accomplishments of our highest achievers. In poker, to a large extent, this means attributing the Global Poker Index (GPI) Player of the Year (POY) awards. In 2018, American William Foxen finished first in front of Stephen Chidwick, David Peters, and high stakes darling Justin Bonomo, while our own Kristen Bicknell, was recognized as the Female Player of the Year… for the second year running! William had an amazing year. After earning $1.7M in 2017, thanks to a 7-figure score in December of that year, he stayed the course and amassed $6.6M in 2018, earning precious GPI points in all the right tournaments, to finish with over 4,000 points and the award! The last weekend before the New Year was a great one for a few players that visited Playground’s Electronic Gaming space. Our machines have the highest payout rate in Canada, and they keep showing it! On Saturday night, Carlos Markakis was playing Raging Rhino. 2018: a very busy year!

Two weeks ago today, the Electronic Gaming Devices section opened its doors. In 14 days, our EGDs paid out $144,420 in jackpots alone! Fifty people hit a jackpot so far, with amounts ranging from $1,000 to $12,509. These figures are amazing, but not surprising, as our machines have the highest payout rate in Canada!
