Event #11 of the 2020 World Cup of Cards, $100 + $10 PL Omaha Re-entry, attracted a total of 64 entries (including 17 re-entries) to make up a total prize pool of $6,208.

The pace of play began extremely fast and many players took their chances knowing unlimited re-entries were available. This resulted in a lot of multi-way all in pots to create some huge stacks in the early levels. Once the field reached the final table, the players adapted a slow but steady attitude with their eyes on the top prize. 

Anthony Amato, one of the consistent chip leaders of the night, was eliminated in third place to take home $955. This left Emmilie Banville and Young Min Kim to battle it out. Kim flew under the radar for the majority of the tournament but really came alive at the final table, knocking out a number of players to build an enormous stack.

The final hand saw Banville and Kim get their chips in on the river on a board. Banville revealed a , while Kim had . The river gave Kim a higher straight and the win for a grand prize of $1,773. Banville finished second for $1,295.

It’s now a three-way battle between Anthony Amato, Emmilie Banville, and Young Min Kim.

Nathaly Rhainds was the first to be eliminated from the final table to go home in ninth place for $120. Marc Lemesle was next in eighth to be awarded a total of $195.

Seven players remain in level 20.

The final table has been formed by the remaining nine players. Everyone has agreed to remove $15 from each payout to award the ninth place finisher with $120. Congratulations to the final nine for making it in the money!

The field is now just two spots from being in the money as level 17 gets underway. Anthony Amato, one of the night’s chip leaders, has just eliminated another chip leader, Joshua Ridolfo, to build his stack even higher. Ridolfo had a strong hand with a straight but Amato was able to pull out a full house and collect Ridolfo’s chips.

A seating redraw is taking place as it’s down to the last 16 players after the second break of the night. Eliminations have been happening left and right up to this point but play is now expected to slow as the field approaches the money bubble.

Matt O’Connor is the new chip leader with a stack of 200,000 in chips, currently worth 66 big blinds. Emmilie Banville is not far behind in second with 173,600 in chips.

The field is thinning out quickly as only 25 players remain. The chips have shifted significantly since the first break and many of the stacks are now quite even. It’s looking like it will be a tight race to the final table.

The late registration period has now closed and play has resumed after the first break of the night. 41 players continue to compete for a piece of the $6,000 prize pool guarantee.

Martin Dyotte has a substantial lead over his competitors with a stack of 140,000 in chips, more than triple the chip average. Joshua Ridolfo sits in second place with his stack of 99,500, which is currently worth 124 big blinds.

With already 40 entries (including three re-entries) in level three, it appears that there will be a large field for this popular action-packed event. Players still have 75 minutes to jump in on the action before the late registration period closes at 10:15pm.

It’s time for event #11 of the World Cup of Cards, $100 + $10 Pot Limit Omaha Re-entry. Tonight’s exciting event kicks off at 8:00pm and features a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000.

Players will start with 30,000 in chips and play 8-handed through 20-minute blind levels. The final table will begin once nine competitors remain. This is a re-entry event with unlimited re-entries permitted during the late registration period which will close at 10:15pm. Re-entry is permitted for anyone that loses their chips or chooses to forfeit their stack.
