The WPT® Montreal Online, starts this Sunday on partypoker. The series kicks off with Day 1A of the US$2,000,000 guaranteed Main Event and runs through to the end of the month, culminating on Monday February 1st with the final day of the $1,000,000 guaranteed Mike Sexton Classic!
Players still have 2 huge opportunities at winning their seat into the Main Event if they have yet to do so, as partypoker is hosting a $320 super satellite before each of the Main Event’s two day 1s – each guaranteeing a whopping 50 seats, worth $3200 a piece! The first satellite is this Sunday, January 17th, at 10:30am with the second one starting at the same time the following week, Sunday January 23rd.
Along with the Main Event, partypoker has added a variety of tournaments at a wide range of buy-ins, allowing players of all bankrolls access to the first ever WPT Montreal online series. Included in the schedule are both a Mini Main Event, with a $320 buy-in and $200,000 guarantee as well as a Micro Main Event, with a $33 buy-in and $30,000 guaranteed prize pool. Other events of interest would include the Montreal Masters, a $1050 Progressive Knockout tournament with three day 1s and a $500,000 guarantee as well as the Playground Closer, a $530 buy-in event with the same format as the Montreal Masters with half the guarantee.
The WPT Montreal online will also be honouring the legendary, and 2016 WPT Montreal champion, Mike Sexton – with the Mike Sexton Classic. The Mike Sexton Classic is a 2 day event, with a $10,300 buy-in and $1,000,000 guarantee. The Event will run over 2 days and will have several qualifiers and satellites made available for players looking for a way to get in at a fraction of the cost.
Although we wished we’d be able to host this series live, at Playground, we’re looking forward to crowning a new champion that we can properly coronate once things return to normal.
